The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program in Indonesia aims to provide health check-ups to 53 million students nationwide, covering all types of educational institutions under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Senior Expert Staff at the Presidential Communication Office, Hariqo Wibawa Satria, highlighted that this initiative is part of President Prabowo’s vision for a Golden Generation by 2045, emphasizing the importance of every Indonesian child as a national asset.
President Prabowo has implemented various strategic policies and programs to support this vision, including free nutritious meals, capacity expansion of public hospitals, digital learning initiatives, and scholarship programs. Additionally, specific regulations have been signed to ensure child protection and provide allowances for medical specialists in remote areas.
The implementation of the CKG program in religious-based schools, such as madrasahs, pesantrens, Christian and Catholic schools, Hindu Widyalayas, and Buddhist Dhammasekhas, demonstrates the commitment to inclusive service delivery. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar has underscored the importance of this program in advancing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, urging all religious schools to actively support and participate in the initiative.
To ensure the success of the program, Minister Nasaruddin has instructed regional and district heads to monitor the implementation closely and warned of consequences for schools that do not take the initiative seriously. This comprehensive approach aims to create a healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive generation in line with the national vision for 2045.
